Description What We Love About This Product

"Someone to Love" Therapy Dolls

Therapy dolls have a remarkable effect on both men and women in the middle and later stages of dementia. As an aid for calming they can also bring the person back to a time in their life when they felt useful and had a sense of purpose. Dementia doll therapy helps patients escape from the world where they are the ones being cared for!

Our realistic therapy dolls are soft, easy to cuddle and care for... and come with their own unique personality!

Each weigh three pounds and are about 17 inches long.

"My mother is in an advanced stage of Alzheimers. Her doll is her constant companion. In my mother's mind, the doll is a living being. She cuddles it, talks to it, and exhibits less fearfulness at night when she sleeps with the doll. The familiar occupation of caring for "Little Debbie" seems to remind my mother of her role as an adult. The reduced level of agitation, and even more importantly, the comfort and happiness "Little Debbie" has brought my mother only makes me sad that I did not get her a doll sooner." Jill - Caregiver for her Mother

5 of 5 Warms my heart! April 30, 2024
Reviewer: Barbara M from Oakland, MD United States
My sister holds this sweet baby boy like he's real. Talks, sings, and gives him "nose boops". I'm so happy she doesn't have to share the other babydoll on her Memory Care unit because she's become extremely attached to him. His little face looks real, as do his little fisted hands. Baby has a little weight to him so " real" is believable. It's easier for me to leave after my visits now because she's very happily singing or chatting to "Baby Mikie"...the name of our brother with special needs.

5 of 5 A Special Gift for My Mom with Dementia February 1, 2018
Reviewer: Kim from PA
Mom has not reacted to most of the gifts we have given her, but this little boy doll was special. She has always loved blue and he must remind her of my youngest brother. Peter is always by her side. High quality and he was shipped quickly. I used a coupon and he shipped direct to where mom is staying for free. Thank you!
