It allows you to do simple things like use the bathroom or take a shower without fear.

Securing doors February 10, 2016 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Washington, DC United States   The confounding door lock is an excellent item.  The only caveat one can make is that it may be insufficiently confounding for persons at early or mild forms of mental confusion.  But it does appear to work with persons at the stage where "wandering" occurs on the basis of notions that are clearly unreasonable, such as the idea that they live somewhere else.
